Design

The Klipsch Image X10 is a visual masterpiece anyway you look at it. Embalmed in a copper finish with the brand “Klipsch” running across each earphone there is no way that you can avoid breaking into a smile every time you look at those earphones. The ear-tips are fitted with Klipsch’s patented soft silicone rubber tips that are oval shaped so as to fit each ear in a perfect manner. This design ensures that there are no pressure points created in each ear that might start paining after a little while. In fact, you might just forget that you have these earphones on as they offer an unbelievable level of comfort once they are inserted in your ear canal. The Image X10 is made out of aluminum with an anodized copper finish along with a black “tail” that also serves as a cable stress reducer and acoustic dampener. The earphone comes with an attractive and tough carrying case, an airplane and a 2-inch adaptor, an ear-tip cleaning tool and 5 different sets of silicone ear tips in various sizes to suit all sizes of ears. The sleek design ensures the earphones are hardly visible when inserted in your ears.

Actual user review:
“I primarily use earphones with my iPod, particularly when traveling by air, which I do a lot. The Klipsch Images replaced an older set of Shure E3c in-ear phones that I had been using for about three years. The Klipsch phones are very light, and I found that their earpieces fit me better and were more comfortable to wear than the Shures. They sealed out noise very well. Most importantly, however, the sound of the Klipsch phones is superb, and noticeably better than the Shure phones, any iPod earbuds and even my full-size Grado SR125s. Bass response is astonishingly good. These are expensive, but if you want something small, light and of very high quality, these phones are a great choice.” – M.Omnivore (Boston, USA)

Features

The X10 is one of the smallest models in the Image range of earphones made by Klipsch but still packs some of the best features in the business. The excellent sealing properties afforded by the anatomically-perfect silicone ear-tips along with superior noise-cancellation technology virtually eliminates outside noise or other electronic distortion from these coppered wonders. You can also enhance bass to suit your style since the frequency response of these earphones is from 5Hz to 19kHz, which translates into greater low frequency sound reproduction. Whether it is classical music, pop, rock, rap or any other genre of music, you are sure to hear instruments and vocals in the best manner possible when you set the equalizer in your iPhone, iPod or any other compatible music player to match with these Lilliputian wonders filled to their brim with the latest in technology. The X10 features full range KG 926 drive components with a tuned bass-reflex system that enables it to reproduce the sound of each instrument as if the musician was actually seated inside your ear.

Performance

Although the Image X10 is small in size it is quite big on performance and a host of awards and patents proves the prowess of these miniature wonders. The X10 has been developed after years of research on not only earphones but also human ears, and the combination has resulted in the Image range of earphones led by this tiny-but-potent leader. The excellent frequency response and low distortion levels translate into thumping bass, twanging guitar and clear vocals streaming out of each earphone in an unbelievable way. The performance is further boosted by bass enhancement along with the patented design of the silicone ear-tips that do not allow any outside interference to interfere with your favorite music. You can now listen to the entire gamut of instruments and vocals at a lower volume due to the absence of any distortion, and this can help preserve your ear drums. The unbelievable comfort of these earphones will enable you to wear them for several hours as your ears devour one song after the other and transport you to another world.

Conclusion

If you have an excellent music player then you should not ruin a wonderful experience by opting for cheap earphones or earphones that only survive on fancy names. The Klipsch Image X10 is a fine example of years of research stylishly resulting in tiny copper-finished earphones that reproduce each sound with unbelievable clarity. Whether you own an iPod, iPhone or any other music source, once you plug in your Image X10 earphone then you will surely forget about all other brands of earphones even as you comfortably listen to song after song in unabated pleasure.

Actual User Reviews:
This are, without question, the MOST comfortable in-ear headphones I have ever worn. The difference between the fit of these compared to other high-end earbuds is amazing! I have a pair of SE530s and have tried others such as the ER4-P, Triple.fi, and many others. I use to love switching back and forth between models and having them for different uses, but now after wearing the IMAGEs, I find myself disappointed when I am without them. When I first used these, I thought they sounded a little muddy. The bass from the tiny things is unbelievable! Once I adjusted my EQ settings, they sounded fantastic. I would say that they aren’t as accurate as the ER4-Ps or SE530s, but the comfort makes up for any accuracy they may be lacking! The IMAGEs are very light weight and are hardly noticeable when you have them inserted properly. I prefer the two flanged tip over the single. I can get a proper seal every time, and they are very easy to take out and put back in. Nothing is more annoying than when you get that perfect seal and then some joker walks up and starts talking to you. I hate that when I am wearing my SE530s because they are such a pain to put in. Not a problem with these.

True, the retail on these is a little steep, but I promise you will not regret it! 5 stars for comfort, style, and sound quality.” – A.Hennessey (USA)
